Register suggests that the Palm's Foleo might be making a comeback

So the Register says that they think Palm might be resurrecting the Foleo.

Woo-hoo! No, wait, I'll try to be more conservative.

woo-hoo.

Better, no?

I hate to get my hopes up because this is of course their own interpretation of a note that was sent to Palm customers about beta testing. Apparently Palm described what they were looking for in testers, and if someone was really hopeful about the Foleo's return, they could probably make the connection between that description and the dream mobile companion.

I'm not making any assumptions. It's not that I don't think the folks at the Register aren't smart. It's simply that I don't want to get my hopes up again, put the money away for the right release date, and then find that my dreams are shattered by cruel market twists and canceled releases.

Cuz that would suck.

Anyone who thought the Foleo was a dumb idea doesn't live in my world. I can think of a million reasons why it would be tremendously useful, and I truly hope that Foleo II is actually on its way to market. I might even just put my money aside for that coming release again.
