I had the pleasure of reading the recent blog entry of one my colleagues, Harvey Ramer, in which a reputable SEO pro described the nature of "submitting".

I have been telling clients for a couple of years now that the idea of "Search Engine Optimization", or SEO, is a shady practice at best. There is this idea out there that somehow you can execute a magic formula within your website, or maybe outside it, and search engines will love you better than your many internet siblings.

Well, I have four children. And if I were a search engine, I would tell my little search engine kids the same thing I now tell my real rugrats; I love them all the same, no matter what they do to impress me.

Seems the real search engines pretty much work the same way. Have a read and see for yourself:
