After reading the Tuesday, March 6th edition of the RAIN newsletter, I wondered a bit about what some of the issues were surrounding the fold-up of internet radio stations after the March 2nd CRB announcement. I wondered if it was really that big of a deal.

So after following through on one of Kurt's links, I read up on "the situation" at SaveTheStreams.org. They have a very good FAQ article that addresses some of the questions an ordinary person might have if they haven't been keeping up with this news and why it's important.

I also did a lilttle homework and looked up all of the articles I could find on digg that covered the search phrase "internet radio royalties". I think if I can publish a link to those stories here, I'm doing at least a little bit of my part to spread the word by letting folks know what else is out there. The interesting part was how many stories I found on that subject, just within the last seven days. It seems I'm not the only one who'd like to see this shrivel up and go away.

Anyway, here's that link: digg.com search.
